If you have ever been in an art museum, and wondered why the colour qualities of the contemporary works are so different from those of the old masters, this workshop will unlock the mystery for you. In this four day workshop, Kathy Marlene Bailey will lead you, going step by step into layering and building complex luminous colour - just as the old masters did. This method is excellent for enhancing rendering and colour mixing skills, value and fine colour perception abilities, and is suitable for both beginner and very advanced students. If you enjoy the process, there will be subsequent workshops for further exploration and skills development.
Materials are provided for beginners to oil glazing at an additional cost of $20 including everything - all paints, brushes and canvas.
For advanced oil glazers who have studied with Kathy before, you will bring your own paints and existing projects to work on.
